KDDI R&D Laboratories Wins the Best Application of Frameworx Award at TMForum Live!

SAITAMA, JAPAN, June 12, 2015 — KDDI R&D Laboratories, Ltd. announced today that it has won the Best Application of Frameworx Award at the TM Forum Live! event held in Nice, France, from June 1 to 4, 2015.

TM Forum, a standardization organization that promotes the adoption of new operational and management standards, stages test projects and bestows the Best Application of Frameworx Award upon the project that demonstrates the highest degree of utility or practicality in adopting TM Forum standards.

The award recognized the project’s strong demonstration of proof of concept for automated and swift fault recovery in an actual multi-vendor environment, constructed jointly with two global carriers, AT&T and Orange, and five major telecommunications equipment vendors, Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, Nokia, IBM and Tech Mahindra. KDDI R&D Laboratories served as the project lead for automated operations, employing cutting-edge network virtualization technologies such as SDN and NFV.
